CAT CLOUD
The inspiration came from the feeling cats give us: soft, fluffy, peaceful, and comforting. Whenever I see a sleepy cat curled up for a nap, it reminds me of a little cloud drifting through the sky. I wanted to capture that same comforting sense of warmth and playfulness in sculptural form.
One of my favorite parts of creating this piece was painting the eyes. Each eye has its own unique color and pupil shape, adding playful contrast against the cream & white of the body and bringing a little spark of personality to the sculpture. While making Cat Cloud, I couldn't help imagining all the possibilities this idea could grow into, like a pink Cat Cloud, an orange one, a black one, a gray one... I think it's such a fun concept with so much potential, and I'd love to explore more color variations in the future.
